Dockrell 37

The Dockrell 37 is a Sparkmans and Stevens designed lift keeler with excellent performance and the versatility of shallow draft.  This great example has been well maintained and upgraded and is offered for sale in excellent condition after a complete refit in 2010/11.  The owners are intending to buy larger.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers five berths in two cabins.  In forecabin, V berth with infill and stowage under. Mechanical Systems

Located amidships in insulated compartment, Yanmar YGM30F three cylinder 27hp diesel engine.  Electric start.  Shaft drive to three bladed propeller.  Freshwayer cooled via heat exchanger.  40 gallons fuel capacity giving approximately 450 miles range at 6 knots cruising speed.  Maximum speed under power 6.5 knots.  Approximately 2000 hours engine running time.  The engine has been regularly serviced.

Construction

Built in 1988 by Dockrell Yachts to a design by Sparkman & Stevens.  White GRP hull.  Teak toe rails.  White GRP superstructure with painted non-slip to decks.  Long keel with lifting centreplate.  Aft self draining cockpit.  Transom hung rudder.  Tiller steering.  There is a 2008 survey available for inspection.
