History

Clarke & Carter was established in 1979 at West Mersea in Essex and in 1985 we acquired Interyacht Ltd. merging the two companies to form Clarke & Carter Interyacht Ltd . The company has been in its present ownership from inception and our Directors remain unchanged. We have an unbroken trading history and are proud to have remained independent.

Our four offices  in Suffolk, Essex and Kent are at prime sites in the largest marinas in their areas and encompass the three most popular sailing rivers of our region.

We have sold in excess of 9,000 boats of all descriptions, both sail and power and ranging in price up to £500,000.

We have a varied choice of some 250 boats on the market at any one time.

Over the years we have represented a large number of manufacturers from which we have gained much experience. These include – Albin, Baltic, Bavaria, Bowman, Contessa, Dufour, Elan, Fisher, Freedom, Jeanneau, Moody, Parker, Sadler, Seamaster, Sigma, Southerly, Starlight, Westerly, X-Yachts and Yamaha.

In 2010 we won the International Trade category at the Anglian Business Awards.
