Accommodation

The Bavaria 37 owner's version layout offers up to five berths with two double berths outside the saloon, and excellent 6'4" approx. headroom.

OWNER'S CABIN: A well-proportioned cabin fitted with a large double V berth, large hanging locker and cupboard, eye level shelving and opening hatch to foredeck.

SALOON: Consisting of a U-shaped settee to starboard with a fixed central table, twin seats with small side table to port and excellent stowage in various lockers and cupboards. Plenty of natural light and ventilation is provided by four large opening side windows and a central hatch. 

GALLEY: U-shaped galley aft to port equipped with a gimballed 2-burner gas cooker with oven, twin stainless steel sinks, large top opening fridge and generous stowage in various drawers and cupboards.

NAVIGATION STATION: Forward facing chart table to starboard with PC interface, data repeater, VHF radio, electrical distribution panel, heater controls, stereo and useful storage.

AFT CABIN: Separate aft cabin to starboard, fitted with a double berth (luxury sprung base system for improved comfort and airflow), opening portlight to deck, hanging locker and storage. 

HEADS: Large separate compartment aft to port with Jabsco marine toilet, shower, washbasin, wet hanging locker, opening portlight and further storage.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Pressurised hot and cold water system (with second tank option for improved capacity) via a calorifier with immersion coil. Diesel fired warm air heating system to all cabins. Excellent ventilation throughout is provided by numerous opening hatches and portlights. Teak and holly soleboards and blue cloth upholstery with complimenting pinstripe curtains throughout. 

Mechanical Systems

Located beneath companionway, Volvo Penta MD2030 29hp marine diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever controls with electric start. Plastic 150 litre fuel tank. Volvo Penta saildrive (diaphragm changed 2019) to feathering Maxprop 3-bladed propeller. Automatic engine compartment light.

The engine has been regularly serviced (last service Spring 2018) and well maintained from new and appears in very good cosmetic condition, and has run for approx 1400 engine hours (indicating around 70-80hrs per season, considered to be a good usage for maintaining engine health). 

Electrical Systems

3 x 12v Batteries (2 x domestic and engine start, all new 2010) charged via engine alternator with charge regulator. Shorepower system with ring mains, battery charger and immersion coil for water heating. Electrical distribution panel. Full cabin lighting.

Sails and Spars

Fractional rigged bermudan sloop. Selden aluminum double swept spreader mast and boom. Selden solid kicker. Spinnaker pole. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging. Bavaria 37 built in 2000 by Bavaria Yachts to a design by J & J Design. White GRP hull with blue style stripes, superstructure and decks with moulded non-slip surfaces. Cast iron standard draft fin keel. Whitlock wheel steering to spade hung rudder. Teak folding cockpit table. Teak laid cockpit seats and sole. Self draining cockpit.
