Wallasea Island, United Kingdom

£175,000

'Amathus Esprit' is one of the last of the very popular Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45 DS yachts built in 2011, combining stylish lines and a class-leading interior with excellent headroom and natural light, ideal for comfortable cruising and longer periods afloat. She is presented in very good condition and has the standard draft keel for improved performance together with the preferred twin aft cabin layout, offering three double sleeping cabins, a generous galley, owner's en suite forward, and an easily accessed heads aft. Her impressive inventory includes a bow thruster, air conditioning (overhauled 2021), diesel-fired warm air heating (new 2021), electric windlass, electric halyard winch, chart plotter, radar, and AIS (all new 2021), autopilot, bimini, in-mast furling, feathering prop (new 2021), upgraded upholstery and mattresses, luxury cockpit cushion pack, and much more! Early viewing is highly recommended as these are fast becoming the most sought-after yachts in their class, and this is a rare UK VAT-paid boat only for sale due to an unexpected change of plans.

Entertainment is provided by an LCD TV and CD/DVD/radio stereo system with Bose premium saloon speakers and cockpit speakers.

GALLEY  -  The large L-shaped galley aft to starboard is equipped with an Eno Deluxe three-burner gimballed gas cooker with oven, stainless steel microwave, twin stainless steel sinks, large top-loading fridge with stainless steel front opening door (factory upgrade option), second smaller top-loading fridge or freezer (with separate thermostat and cooling plate), glass splashback, ample work surfaces for food preparation, and excellent storage in a range of cupboards and drawers.

CHART TABLE  - Forward-facing chart table to port with chart storage, large surface area for chartwork, and electrical distribution panel.

AFT CABINS  -  Twin double aft cabins are fitted with double berths with infills to increase the berth size, hanging lockers, cupboards, and opening portlights. The port cabin also has en suite access to the heads compartment.

HEADS  -  Separate heads compartment to port with marine toilet, holding tank, washbasin, shower, mirrors, and storage cupboards. This compartment also has ensuite access via the port aft cabin.

Upgraded mattresses with Drymat anti-condensation underlay in all cabins. Hot and cold pressurised water via a calorifier with immersion coil for water heating, and a generous 615L freshwater capacity. Webasto diesel fired warm air heating system with vents to all cabins, heads, and en suite (new 2021). Climma 16,000 BTU reverse-cycle air conditioning system with heating function (serviced including new seacock 2021).

Mechanical Systems

Located beneath the companionway, Yanmar 4JH-53 54hp 4-cylinder marine diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Engine compartment extractor fan (new 2021). Single lever controls with electric start. Rev counter. Saildrive with Ambassador Stripper rope cutter (new 2021) to Darglow Featherstream 3-bladed feathering propeller (new 2021). Max Power CT100 dual-propeller bow thruster.

The engine was last serviced in May 2021, has been lightly used since (approx. 25hrs) and has run for 460hrs from new as at October 2021, equating to optimal usage of around 46hrs per season. As this is a later Sun Odyssey 45 DS fitted with a more efficient saildrive rather than earlier shaft drive versions the 54hp engine is considered the best option, as it is more than powerful enough without the complications of the larger turbocharged engine option.

Electrical Systems

4 x 12v 110ah batteries (3 x domestic and separate engine) all charged via engine alternator. Dedicated bow thruster and windlass battery forward. Shorepower system with ring mains (all sockets changed to UK sockets), upgraded 60ah battery charger, and immersion coil for water heating. Durite 2000w inverter with separate control panel. Scheiber electrical distribution panel with digital multifunction gauge and 12v socket.
