Delphia has been building boats since 1990 and is renowned for combining high quality with great value for money. Originally known for their cruising yachts, having recently become part of Groupe Beneteau they are now focusing on their new motor yacht range. Ideal for those looking to explore both inland waterways and coastal cruises, they have been designed using Delphia’s many years of sailing experience. With spacious accommodation and lots of practical features they are bound to be a hit with retiring yachtsmen and those wanting relaxed, economic cruising in luxury!
The first of the new Delphia BluEscape range, designed by Tony Castro (Clipper 70, Gunfleet, Parker, etc) and Andrzej Skrzat. They combine an efficient displacement hull with a luxurious interior and excellent all-round features for ease of use. Using his extensive experience he has created a uniquely practical and capable motor yacht design.
Featuring a very low air draft for canal and river work they are also capable of coastal cruising. Appropriate power engines for displacement cruising and an efficient semi-tunneled hull return low running costs. Meanwhile, improved maneuverability and handling are improved, with the option of bow and stern thrusters to make things easier still.
Getting around on deck couldn’t be easier thanks to wide decks, high bulwarks, port and starboard side gates, transom door, and a helm side door. The large aft cockpit flows into the saloon with its panorama windows, creating an excellent entertaining and living space, easily enclosed if required thanks to the fixed hardtop roof. Forward is a generous foredeck with integrated loungers on the cabin top, ideal for sunbathing. With opening aft sunroof, larger wheelhouse sunroof or flybridge options (offering a huge second entertainment and sunbathing area) this is a very adaptable design!
Moving inside, the saloon offers excellent space and has a large linear galley ideal for long term cruising. At the helm, visibility is superb with easy deck access and a raisable navigators bench opposite. Below decks, the interior combines modern style with traditional quality and practical features. A large owners cabin forward with central island berth has plenty of storage and an ensuite with separate shower area. The side double cabin and separate heads compartment are ideal for guests, whilst the optional saloon berth conversion can add another double berth.
The Delphia Escape 1150 offers class-leading accommodation, with a dual purpose hull design. You choose – will it be a displacement craft ideal for low speeds and economy, or a high-speed cruiser? Fitted with a single shaft engine it is ideal for economic coastal cruising, or choose twin sterndrives for fast planing performance at sea! Both options offer efficient cruising and feature the amazing full-width mid-cabin layout.
Deck access is excellent, with an asymmetric deck layout offering a wider walkway to starboard and a helm side door. The aft cockpit again leads into the saloon, creating an excellent entertaining and living space. Wind? Rain? No problem, simply put the enclosure up and then be warm and dry thanks to the fixed hardtop roof. This offers a much more practical and useful area than the normal cockpit tent designs. When the sun comes out the aft bench seat quickly converts to a large sunpad, ideal for sunbathing.
Moving inside, the saloon has a large linear galley and raised helm position with side door for ease of handling. Below decks, the interior combines modern style with traditional quality and practical features. The forward cabin has a central island berth, plenty of storage and an ensuite heads compartment. However, the full-width mid-cabin steals the show, feeling like you are on a much bigger boat, with superb headroom and space. A second separate heads compartment and an optional saloon berth conversion finish off the accommodation allowing up to six to stay onboard.
