The Delta 94 was the final design and evolution of the superb SHE 31, designed by the world-renowned Sparkman & Stephens. Sanity has been in her current tenure since 2017 and have taken her owners far and wide. She is a comfortable and fast cruising boat. She is now at the point where she needs some TLC.

Accommodation

The layout offers up to 5 berths in 2 cabins with approx. 6' maximum headroom. Up forward there is a double V berth with storage beneath, shelves, and an opening hatch to the foredeck. Moving after you have the full width heads compartment with Lavac marine toilet to port, washbasin with a pressurised hot & cold water supply, and storage area opposite to starboard. In the saloon, you have a comfortable U-shaped settee with table (which converts to a small double) is to port, with a single settee berth opposite. The galley is in the port quarter, equipped with a 2-burner gas cooker with grill & oven, sink with a pressurised hot & cold water supply. Good storage is provided beneath the seating and in a range of easily accessed shelves, cupboards and drawers. The forward-facing chart table is opposite in the starboard quarter with good space for chartwork, storage areas, and fitted with a range of navigation equipment. Single quarter berth behind. Oatmeal upholstery. Eberspacher diesel cabin heater.

Mechanical Systems

Located under the companionway stairs in an insulated compartment is the Yanmar 2YM15 marine diesel engine, fitted new in approximately 2015. Twin cylinder, 15hp, fresh water cooled via a heat exchanger. Shaft driven to a fixed 2 bladed propeller. Stainless steel fuel tank. Approximately 476 engine hours. Electric start. Single lever controls. Regularly serviced by knowledgeable owner.

    The hull was built by South Hants Engineering to a Sparkman & Stephens design and finished by Lairds Adams in 1980. White GRP hull, superstructure, and decks with painted non-slip surfaces. Aluminium toe rail. Cast iron fin keel. Tiller steering to skeg hung rudder. Self-draining aft cockpit. Hull is coppercoated below the waterline.
