The Beneteau Antares 760 is a great cruising or very comfortable fishing boat, similar to the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 805. They combine practical features like easily accessed decks and open aft cockpit with a wheelhouse saloon fitted with a linear galley and dinette, a good forward cabin and separate heads compartment, ideal for a couple to cruise for weeks away or weekending with more onboard. Colibri is fitted with the Nanni 4.390 200hp engine for economic and reliable cruising with a great inventory including bow thruster, electric windlass, full cockpit enclosure, chart plotter, fishfinder.

Accommodation

The Beneteau Antares 760 accommodation offers up to 4 berths in the wheelhouse and forward cabin. Forecabin with V berth, infill to form a double, shelves, storage and hatch to foredeck. Separate heads compartment with a Jabsco marine toilet (2024/25), washbasin, mirror, storage and opening portlight. Wheelhouse with helm position to starboard, dinette to port (which converts to a small double berth) with standing bolster seat. Linear galley aft to starboard fitted with a two-burner gas cooker with stainless steel sink, storage cupboard and a front opening fridge (forward near helm). Teak finish interior woodwork, blue upholstery with matching curtains and teak and holly effect soleboards with loose fitted carpets. Pressurised cold water. Sliding door to aft cockpit with excellent deck access and storage in various lockers.

Mechanical Systems

Located under the wheelhouse sole, is the Nanni 4.390TDi marine diesel engine fitted new in 2006. 200hp, 4 cylinders, turbo charged, freshwater cooled via a heat exchanger. Shaft driven to a bronze 4 bladed propeller. 200 litre stainless steel fuel tank. Approximately 1250 engine hours. Single lever controls. Electric start. Bowthruster. Engine appears to be in a very clean condition including the engine bay itself. Engine annually serviced and in the past six months:

  • Heat exchanger cleaned and new coolant
  • Impeller, thermostat and cam belt changed
  • Engine and gearbox oils changed, along with all of the filters

Wheel steering with removable emergency tiller.
