The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 389 has proven to be a popular and successful design. She offers a fantastic use of space, with special attention to the ergonomics and modern aesthetics. Her hull is performance orientated, with a sharp chine that offers a great turn of speed as well as comfort. This is the deep fin keel version with the two-cabin layout, teak woodwork, bowthruster, cockpit enclosure and much, much more. One owner from new and originally supplied by Clarke & Carter and first handed over in Spring 2017.

Accommodation

Giverny is the 2 cabins owners version layout, which offers up to 6 berths. Her interior is fitted out with teak woodwork and plenty of natural light and good ventilation. In the forward cabin, there is a large double berth with access to the bowthruster and water tank underneath, deep cabinet with hanging lockers and shelves. Deck opening hatch. Moving aft into the saloon, there is a large U shaped settee to starboard with luxury saloon table option and double berth conversion kit, upper storage cabinets, seating to port with storage locker forward and ceiling handrail. Aft facing chart table with storage and laptop space. Wet locker aft of chart table. Ambiance pure white leatherette saloon upholstery. The L shaped galley is to starboard with double stainless-steel sinks (hot and cold pressurised fresh water system, 40 litre hot water tank and tank gauge), large fridge with access from top and front opening door, gimballed two burner gas cooker with grill and oven, and a vast amount of stowage. Additional water tank. The separate heads compartment is opposite to port with a basin, shower with divider plus marine toilet with holding tank. Door to very large stowage to aft of heads compartment. Large double cabin in the starboard aft with hanging locker. Shades and screens for hatches and ports. Laminate flooring throughout. Flush mounted LED ceiling lights. Fusion RA210 stereo system (2022) with Bluetooth plus saloon and cockpit speakers. Webasto diesel fired central heating system. Bulkhead mounted TV.

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway steps in a vented and soundproofed compartment, is the Yanmar 3YM30 marine diesel engine. 29hp. Three cylinders. Fresh water cooled via a heat exchanger. White grp coachroof with moulded non-skid decks. GRP bowsprit. Cast iron shoal fin keel. Twin wheel steering system to two spade hung rudders. Self-draining cockpit and anchor well. Wood to cockpit seats, sole and transom. Large cockpit and lazarette lockers. Life raft locker. Washboard storage. Gas locker for twin bottles. Wood coach roof hand rails. Large fold down swim platform with telescopic ladder. Large twin leaf cockpit table.
