The layout offers up to four berths in the forward cabin, and good headroom throughout.
FOREPEAK - Fitted with a V berth forward with infill to form a double berth, pipecots to port and starboard, stowage, and access to the chain locker.
GALLEY - Compact linear galley to starboard equipped with a microwave, sink with hot and cold pressurised water system, and storage.
HEADS - Separate heads compartment to port fitted with a Jabsco marine toilet.
WHEELHOUSE SALOON - Helm position to port with adjustable seat providing excellent visibility and a large range of navigation instruments, to starboard is an L-shaped seating area.
EXTERIOR - The large, well-protected aft cockpit is ideal for entertaining, fishing or generally relaxing, with plenty of room for tables and seating. Easily accessed wide side decks allow for safe passage around the boat for confident deckwork when required.
GENERAL EQUIPMENT - Pressurised hot and cold water system via a calorifier. Diesel fired warm air heating system.
Mechanical SystemsLocated in separate engine compartments, twin Perkins Sabre M215C six-cylinder 215hp turbocharged commercial diesel engines. Freshwater cooled via heat exchangers. Dual lever controls with electric start. Racor fuel filters. Hydraulic wheel steering (new system 2019). Shaft drives via Twin Disc gearboxes (overhauled including new output shaft seals 2019) to bronze propellers. Maxpower CT80 Duo 24V bow thruster (new 2019).
The engines were replaced in 2005, are in very good cosmetic condition, were serviced in early 2022 and have also had both fuel pumps serviced later on in the season. The M215C engines are highly regarded for their smooth running, low noise levels, economy, and durability. Although capable of high-speed passage making, cruising at a displacement speed of around 8kts can offer surprisingly economic cruising.
Electrical Systems12/24v Battery system charged via engine alternators with heavy-duty isolator switches. 2 x 12v 130ah in a 24v bank for engines and bow thruster. 2 x 12v 80ah domestic batteries. Battery link switch for emergency starting. Victron Orion DC-DC 24/12v charger. Victron Phoenix 24v 2000w pure sine inverter with remote control (new 2020). Shorepower system with ring mains. Electrical distribution panel.
Deck EquipmentLochin 33 built by Lochin Marine to a Robert Tucker design in 1988. Heavy-duty commercial spec GRP hull, superstructure, and decks with non-slip surfaces. Heavy-duty rubber rubbing strake. Hydraulic wheel steering to twin rudders partially protected by a long keel profile.
MCA CodingAlthough 'Trinitas' has been coded in the past, recent changes to the MCA Workboat Code make it unlikely that it will be possible to return her to this form of coded use. It may be possible to get coding for other uses, such as an inland passenger boat or charter fishing, for more information please contact the MCA or an approved coding surveyor.
