Accommodation The Moody 31 Mk.1 accommodation offers five to six berths in three cabins with two double berths and approx. 6'  max. headroom. FORECABIN - V berth forward with infill to convert to a double berth, good storage and opening hatch to foredeck. SALOON - Laid out with two settee berths either side of a central table with drop leaves and useful storage areas in various lockers and shelves. GALLEY - Aft to starboard and equipped with a Nelson Spinflo 2-burner gas stove with grill and oven, 'Supercool' fridge in cool box, stainless steel sink and storage. CHART TABLE - Outboard facing chart table with swivel seat, chart storage and navigation equipment. AFT CABIN - Fitted with a double berth, storage locker and portlight. HEADS - Separate heads compartment aft to port with Jabsco marine toilet and wash basin. GENERAL EQUIPMENT - Pressurised hot and cold water supply via a calorifier (engine and immersion heater). The water system has a 137 litre capacity. Blue fabric upholstery. Diesel cabin heating system. Fusion radio system, 2022 with saloon and cockpit speakers and remote operating tablet. Mechanical Systems Located at companionway. 1984 Volvo Penta 2003 28hp three cylinder inboard diesel engine. Seawater cooled. Shaft drive to Bruntons Autoprop 3 blade variable pitch  propeller. 90L stainless steel fuel tank. The engine was rebuilt in 2003. Approx 2,000 hours from new. Last serviced October 2022. Sails & Spars Bermudan rigged sloop with deck-stepped mast. Kemp silver anodised aluminium mast and boom, 1984. Spinnaker pole. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2018). Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing mainsail with lazyjacks. Harken headsail furling system. Halyards led aft via clutches to coachroof mounted winches. 2 x Harken self-tailing sheet winches. Lewmar 40 self tailing primary winches, Lewmar 7, 6 & 16 control line winches. Harken mainsail luff slides.

Construction Moody 31 built by Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd. in 1984 to a Bill Dixon design. White GRP hull, superstructure and decks with grey moulded non-slip surfaces. Cast iron fin keel. Wheel steering to skeg hung rudder. Self-draining aft cockpit. 2002, hull was stripped and Awlgrip Hull Guard applied then antifouled. 2020 survey report available. Her owner is approaching 80 years of age and it is now time to slow down!
