Description

The Hustler 25.5 is a pretty cruiser designed by Holman & Pye. They are fast with impeccable manners, ideal for a spot of club racing or fast cruising, and the moderate draft makes them very East Coast friendly. Helene has been constantly improved and benefits from a 2009 Nanni engine, new keel bolts (2024), new standing rigging (2023), new stackpack and sprayhood (2023). This version has a quarter berth, twin settee berths and a V berth forward.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers four berths in two cabins. Forepeak with V berth, stowage, access to anchor locker and opening hatch to foredeck. Full width heads compartment with Lavac marine toilet and wash basin. Settee berth to port with linear galley opposite equipped with a Plastimo Neptune 2000 two-burner gas cooker with grill and oven, sink and storage. Insulated cool box. Manual cold water supply to wash basin and sink. Quarter berth aft to starboard. Beige cloth upholstery. Blue curtains (new 2023).

Mechanical Systems

2009 Nanni N2.14HE, two-cylinder, 14hp diesel engine located behind companionway steps. Engine professionally installed in 2010 with new shaft and propeller. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive via P-bracket to three-blade fixed propeller. New cutless bearing 2021. Morse single lever controls. Electric start. Engine serviced annually by local engineer. Approximately 260 engine hours. Heat exchanger cleaned in 2025. 25 litre fuel tank capacity.

    Built in 1978 to a design by Holman & Pye. Dark Blue painted GRP hull with gold cavita line. Underwater hull Coppercoated in 2021. Cast iron fin keel fully removed and rebedded with new stainless steel keel bolts in 2024. GRP superstructure with grey painted non-slip surfaces. Tiller steering to hung rudder. Self-draining cockpit with teak grating. Teak slats to cockpit seats. Stainless steel pulpit and pushpit. Alloy stanchions. Last surveyed in 2025 with a copy available upon request.
