Description

The Seamaster 815 is a family cruiser with forgiving performance under sail and has a traditional four berth layout below. Ginny has been cruised locally for the majority of her life and is ready for further explorations! Her inventory includes a 2018 engine, recent headsail, navigation kit and deck equipment. Accommodation

The accommodation offers 4 berths in two cabins. V berth forward will infill, new upholstery and foam in 2017. Heads compartment to port with a recent marine toilet plus hanging locker opposite. In the saloon there is a dinette to port with a demountable saloon table. The linear galley is to starboard and is equipped with a Taylors 043 gas cooker with grill and oven, stainless steel sink with a 30 litre manual cold fresh water supply, cool box and plenty of stowage. The quarter berth is to starboard and this has a fold down chart table over.

Mechanical Systems

Located under companionway. This is a year 2018, Yanmar 1GM10 marine diesel engine. 9hp. Single cylinder. Electric start. Shaft drive to fixed two blade propeller. Single lever engine controls. 63 litre fuel tank. The engine hours are unrecorded but will be very low.

Electrical Systems

Two 12v batteries (2017 & 2019) charging via engine alternator. The 12v wiring was upgraded in 2019 including a new switch panel.

Masthead Bermudan sloop rig. Anodised aluminium mast and boom, 1978. Stainless steel standing rigging, 2017. Terylene running rigging, 2017. Slab reefing to mainsail. Selden headsail furling system, 2017. Barlow 15 halyard winch. Harlow 23 sheet winches.

    Built by Seamaster Ltd, Essex in 1978/9 to a design by Holman & Pye. White grp hull with style stripes. Rubber hull fendering. White grp coachroof with painted light grey non slip decks. Self draining cockpit and anchor well. Cast iron fin keel. Transom and skeg hung rudder. Tiller steering. Stainless steel safety rails and alloy stanchions. Keel bolts replaced in 2018.
