The Halmatic 30 is a well-respected John Sharp design and remains a firm favourite amongst sailors looking for a traditional long-keel cruising yacht. Built by Halmatic, these strongly constructed yachts have earned a reputation as capable offshore cruisers with excellent directional stability, a sea kindly motion and surprisingly generous accommodation for their size. Their moderate draft and straightforward handling make them equally suitable for coastal cruising, estuary exploration and longer passages. Fair Envoy has been in her current ownership for approximately nine years and benefits from a Yanmar diesel engine, comprehensive navigation equipment and an extensive sail inventory.

Accommodation

Fair Envoy offers 5 berths across two cabins, benefitting from full standing headroom throughout. Up forward ? V-berth with infill and stowage beneath. Opening hatch to foredeck. Separate heads compartment to starboard fitted with manual marine toilet and washbasin. Approximately 50litre holding tank. Hanging locker and shelving opposite. Saloon with two settee berths ? starboard converting to a double. Chart table to starboard with galley opposite. Wet hanging locker. Galley equipped with Plastimo 2-burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven, stainless steel sink and storage. Manually pumped water supply, approximately 170 litre freshwater tank. Eberspacher heating.

Mechanical Systems

Located aft of the companionway, Yanmar 2GM20 twin-cylinder diesel engine (2002). Electric start. Direct raw-water cooling. Shaft drive to fixed 3-blade propellor. Single lever control. Approximately 70 litre fuel tank. The owner advises the engine has been winterised annually throughout his ownership. Oil and filter changes have been carried out ahead of recommended intervals, whilst anodes and impellers have been replaced annually. The exhaust mixing elbow was remanufactured and replaced in 2021, whilst water pump seals and bearings were renewed in 2025. Engine maintenance records are retained onboard together with spare filters, anodes, oil, impellers and a spare fuel lift pump.

Headsail furling system. 2x Lewmar 44 3 Speed Winches, 2x Lewmar 7 halyard winches, 1x Lewmar 16 winch and 1x Lewmar 7 winch. Spinnaker Pole.

Built in 1979 by Halmatic to a design by John Sharp. Blue GRP hull. Teak toe rails. White GRP superstructure with Treadmaster non-slip to deck. Long keel with external cast iron ballast. Keel hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self draining cockpit. Last anti-fouled 2026.
