Diaton is an very good example of the ever-popular Moody 29 , offering impressive accommodation and a safe, comfortable cockpit. She has had many updates over the years including a replacement engine, upgraded electronics, warm air heating, self-tailing winches, new upholstery and more. Accommodation

The accommodation offers six berths in two cabins with full standing headroom. In the forecabin, V berth with infill and stowage under. Opening hatch to deck. Full-width heads compartment with Lavac marine toilet and washbasin. Hanging locker. In saloon, two settee berths, one converting to double. Fold-down table with opening leaves. Chart table to starboard with quarter berth behind and galley opposite. Smev gimballed four-burner gas cooker with oven. Stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water supply. Indel 12v fridge evaporator plate fitted to cool box 2021. Eberspacher diesel-fired warm air central heating (needs recommissioning). New fireproof upholstery in 2021.

Mechanical Systems

Located under companionway in vented and soundproofed compartment, Bukh DV24 twin cylinder, 24hp diesel engine and gearbox (installed new in November 2006). Electric or hand start. Seawater cooled. Shaft drive to fixed two bladed propeller. Single lever control. The engine appears in excellent cosmetic condition has been serviced annually including recent new cutless bearing.

Electrical Systems

2 x 12v Batteries (new 2020) charged via engine alternator with charge regulator. Shorepower system with ring main and immersion coil for water heating. Electrical distribution panel. Full cabin lighting including touch-operated 12v down lighters and 240v fittings (new 240v in 2020 and down lighters in 2022).

Masthead rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2020). Detachable inner forestay. Terylene running rigging. Spinnaker pole. Single line slab reefing mainsail with lazyjacks. Selden Furlex 204S headsail furling system (new 2020). Lines led aft to cockpit. Two Lewmar 30 self-tailing sheet winches. Two Antal W7 control line winches on coachroof. Lewmar 7 halyard winch on mast. Lewmar 8 reefing winch on mast.

    Built in 1982 by Marine Projects for Moody Yachts to a design by Angus Primrose. White GRP hull with dark blue sheer stripe. Alloy toe rails. White GRP superstructure with light grey non-slip to deck. Cast iron fin keel. Transom hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self-draining cockpit. Coachroof windows replaced with toughened anti-glare glass in 2020.
