The Kaufman 43 is a classic cruiser/racer, designed by M.Kaufman and built in Taiwan in 1985/86. She is a stretched version of the Albin Nimbus 41 and is one of four boats built worldwide. She is designed for offshore passages with a strong balance of speed and comfort. She Performs well upwind and handles heavy weather competently. Temptress has been in the same ownership for 24 years and has cruised extensively all over, from the Azores all the way up to the Arctic Circle. A truly special boat and a very rare opportunity.

Accommodation
Offering up to 8 berths with 2 separate sleeping cabins away from the main saloon. She has a lovely teak interior fit out with blue upholstery throughout. Up forward there is a double V berth with plenty of stowage. Eye level shelving, drawers and two hanging lockers. Deck opening hatch. Moving aft into the saloon, you have two single berths to port and starboard with pilot berths outboard. Double drop leaf table to centre. Two opening deck hatches. Moving aft again you have the side facing chart table to starboard with the electrical distribution panel and navigation equipment. Pull out seat. Chart stowage. To centre, there is a large galley island work top with twin stainless-steel sinks. Pressurised hot & cold water supply. Manually pump salt water supply to both sinks. Over to port is the two-burner gas hob with an oven & grill. Large fridge and freezer. Very good stowage after the galley. Opening hatches for more ventilation. Stepping aft into the aft cabin you have the large double berth to centre. Two single seats. Hanging lockers and drawers providing more stowage. Through the starboard side walk through back into the galley is the heads compartment with manual marine toilet, basin and separate shower compartment. Hot & cold pressurised water supply. Wet hanging locker. Webasto cabin heater with outlets throughout. 240 litre water capacity.
Mechanical Systems
Located under the galley island in a sound proof engine compartment is the Beta Marine engine fitted new in 2015. 60hp, 4 cylinders, fresh water cooled via a heat exchanger. Shaft drive to a feathering 3 bladed propeller. Electric start. Single lever controls. 230 litre fuel tank. Approximately 1100 hours. Regularly serviced.

Built by Kha Shing Enterprises in 1985/86 to a design of Michael Kaufman. White GRP hull deck & coachroof, stiffened by bonded bulkhead stringers and longitudinals. Teak laid decks (glued & screwed). Wheel steering to a skeg hung rudder. Cast iron fin keel. Last survey in 2025 with a copy available. The boat has been coded in the past, as it was used for chartered day trips around the Scottish West Isles.
