The Westerly Merlin design was commissioned by Westerly to be a modern and more spacious version of the earlier Konsort. ?Barbill? is a twin bilge keel example of the Merlin with a good inventory including freshwater cooled engine, hot and cold pressurised water, shore power, heating, manual windlass and radar. She is keenly priced to sell quickly.

Accommodation

Six berths in two cabins with approx. 6? max. headroom. V-berth forward with in-fill. C-shaped saloon seating to port with double drop leaf saloon table. Single settee berth to starboard. Aft facing chart table seat to starboard with switch panel, plotter and radar. Galley with stainless steel sink, Flavel Vanessa two burner gas stove with grill & oven. Refrigerated cool box. Separate heads compartment aft to starboard with Jabsco marine toilet. Moulded wash basin. Separate shower head and mixer taps. Double aft cabin to port with hanging locker. Hot and cold pressurised water supply to galley sink, wash basin and shower. Wallas cabin heating system. Blue upholstery and curtains. Teak and holly stripe floorboards.

Mechanical Systems

Yanmar 2GM20, twin cylinder, 18hp marine diesel engine fitted in 2000. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever Morse controls. Shaft drive via P-bracket to fixed two blade propeller. New stern gland and cutless bearing 2023. 81 litre steel fuel tank.

Electrical Systems

Two 12v batteries charging from engine alternator. Batteries new in 2022. 240v shore power system with Aquaman 15amp battery charger, immersion heater and ring main. Interior lighting.

Masthead rigged sloop. Silver anodised deck stepped, single spreader mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing mainsail with lazyjacks.
