?Three Fortunes? is a bilge keel example of the ever popular Westerly Konsort. Accommodation

The Westerly Konsort layout offers up to six berths in two cabins with approx. 6'1" max. headroom. Striped cotton upholstery. Curtains and carpets. FORECABIN: Forecabin with V-berth, infill to form a double, storage, and opening hatch to foredeck. Stainless steel water tank under berth. HEADS: Separate heads compartment to port with Jabsco marine toilet and sliding wash basin with manual cold water supply. Cupboard, shelf, and hanging locker opposite. SALOON: Saloon with two settee berths (port pulls out to form a double berth, starboard has a trotter box), with good stowage behind and beneath the berths. Large drop leaf saloon table. Brass oil lamp. GALLEY: Galley aft to starboard equipped with a Neptune 2500 two-burner gas cooker with grill and oven (new 2022), stainless steel sink with manually pumped cold water supply, insulated cool box, and good storage in fitted storage and cupboards. CHART TABLE: Chart table to port with switches and instrumentation. Generous quarter berth aft (this could even be considered a cosy double!).

Mechanical Systems

Volvo Penta 2002, twin cylinder, 18hp marine diesel engine located under companionway steps. Raw water cooled. Shaft drive via P-bracket to fixed three blade propeller. Volvo shaft seal. Engine serviced 2024 including oils and filters. Automatic fire extinguisher in engine space.

Electrical Systems

2 x domestic batteries and single engine start, located under quarter berth. Batteries charged via engine alternator. Simple shore power system with Cristec battery charger (new 2025). Interior lighting.

Sails and Spars

Masthead rigged sloop. Silver anodised Kemp mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2024). Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing mainsail. Rotostay headsail furling system. 2 x Barlow 21 sheet winches (with Wincher self-tailing fittings). 2 x Barlow 20 control winches on coachroof. Lines led aft to Spinlock clutches. Spinnaker pole.

    Westerly Konsort built in 1986 by Westerly Marine Ltd. White GRP hull and decks with pale blue painted non-slip surfaces. Cast iron twin bilge keels. Tiller steering to transom/skeg hung rudder. Tiller extension. Self-draining aft cockpit. Blue Treadmaster non-slip to cockpit floor.
