The Jeanneau Sun Dance 36 is a well-designed and fast family cruiser. She is spacious and comfortable, with lots of deck space, an ergonomic cockpit and a large saloon. Tootsie II has been upgraded in the recent years including new rigging, sails, canvas and much much more.

Accommodation

The layout offers up to eight berths with three separate double sleeping cabins. There is full standing headroom and good ventilation throughout. In the forecabin, there is a large V berth, hanging locker and washbasin. Opening hatch to foredeck. Moving aft into the saloon, there is a large dinette to starboard with the linear galley opposite. Two burner gimballed gas cooker with an oven. Separate front opening refrigerator (new 2020). Stainless-steel sink (new 2020) with hot and cold pressurised water system and salt water foot pump. The saloon table converts down into a double berth. The forward-facing chart table is to port with the electrical distribution panel and some navigation equipment. Twin double aft cabins with hanging lockers and ample stowage. Starboard cabin has a en-suite heads with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. Grey upholstery throughout (2020).

Mechanical Systems

Located centrally in the saloon, in a insulated engine compartment is the Yanmar 3GM30 three cylinder 27hp diesel engine. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to two bladed propeller (new 2024). Single lever control (new 2024). 150 litre fuel tank giving approximately 400 mile range at 5 knot cruising speed. New engine mounts in 2021. New engine exhaust in 2021. Regular engine servicing.

    Built in 1989 (launched 1990) by Jeanneau to a design by Daniel Andrieu. White GRP hull with style stripes. Alloy toe rails. White GRP superstructure with teak laid deck (new teak to cockpit 2003, coachroof 2011). Fin keel (new keelbolts 2021). Spade rudder. Wheel steering. Aft self-draining cockpit. International Gelshield 1990 and 2003 as preventative measure. Last surveyed in 2024 with a copy available.
