The Moody 425 is often considered to be the ultimate cruising Moody of their time, combining luxurious accommodation and a comfortable cockpit in an easily managed size. The centre cockpit layout is perfect for long term or liveaboard cruising, offering two excellent double sleeping cabins and lots of easily accessed storage. This, combined with attractive lines and Moody's excellent reputation for durability and build quality, make them a very attractive choice for bluewater and long distance sailing. Maximo benefits from many significant upgrades including a larger lightly used modern engine, hydraulic bow thruster and anchor windlass, remote start generator, diesel heating, holding tank, and recent standing rigging (new 2019). Only for sale due to her owner's plans changing, she represents an amazing opportunity to buy a well specified example of these versatile yachts at an attractive price!

Accommodation
The Moody 425 layout offers up to 8 berths in 4 cabins with two double berth sleeping cabins each with en suite access to separate heads compartments. There is approx. 6'3" max headroom in the saloon and galley, and over 6' in both forward and aft cabins.
FORECABIN: Fitted with two large single berths which convert to a double V-berth, excellent storage provided by a large hanging locker, shelved stowage locker, beneath-berth stowage, and eye-level lockers, an opening hatch to the foredeck, and en suite access to the forward heads.
FORWARD HEADS: Separate heads compartment to starboard fitted with a marine toilet, washbasin, and shower. The compartment is finished in wipe-clean laminate surfaces with lockers for storage, an opening hatch for light and ventilation, and can be accessed both from the saloon passageway and forecabin.
SALOON: The saloon has a large U-shaped settee to starboard, a central dining table with folding leaves and storage, and a second settee to port. Easily accessed storage is provided by a range of lockers and shelves, and two opening hatches and fixed portlights provide natural light and ventilation. Contoured cushions with deep bases and decorative teak and holly veneered flooring create a comfortable and welcoming feel.
GALLEY: Located to port is a generous L-shaped galley, equipped with a Plastimo gimballed 2-burner gas cooker with oven and grill, top access fridge/freezer, and twin stainless steel sinks. Opposite is a further linear galley area with a microwave and built-in bin, these two areas combine to offer generous work surfaces and excellent stowage in various lockers and cupboards for food, crockery, pots, and pans. A passageway leads aft to the heads compartment which in turn offers secondary access to the aft cabin.
NAVIGATION AREA: To starboard is a large forward-facing chart table equipped with navigation equipment, an electrical distribution panel, chart stowage, drawers, and locker space, forward of the passageway leading to the aft cabin.
PASSAGEWAY CABIN: Located to starboard, this passageway is the main access to the aft cabin and is fitted with two single bunk berths single berth with stowage below. Other Moody owners have adapted this area in the past to offer more hanging space and effectively create a 'walk-in wardrobe' and dressing area, and it also provides excellent engine access via a large side panel.
AFT CABIN: The large owner's aft cabin features an island double berth, seat, and excellent storage provided by a large hanging locker, further cupboards, and lockers, as well as a dressing table, large mirror, and en suite access to the aft heads. An opening hatch to the aft deck combined with opening portlights in the coachroof allow for plenty of natural light and ventilation.
AFT HEADS: Located to port and fitted with a Jabsco electric sea toilet, washbasin, and separate shower area with folding screen doors, the compartment is finished with perspex and wipe-clean laminate for practicality, and has an opening portlight for ventilation. Access is either via aft of the galley or en suite access from the aft cabin.
