The Moody Eclipse 38 is a spacious and capable deck saloon cruising yacht, offering twin steering positions, excellent accommodation and a relatively shallow 1.37m draft. Kasuku is a comprehensively equipped example which has benefited from an extensive programme of maintenance and upgrading over recent years. Highlights include a Vetus M4.56 56hp diesel engine installed in 2023, Furlex headsail furling fitted in 2020, bow thruster, Coppercoat, Raymarine radar renewed in 2023, domestic batteries and solar charging in 2024, and a new sprayhood in 2025. Below decks she offers six berths with two double sleeping cabins, a light and spacious raised deck saloon, two heads compartments and an inside steering position. Her present owners have cruised Kasuku along the East and South Coasts and to Holland. A particularly well-equipped example of these sought-after deck saloon cruisers, worthy of early inspection.

Kasuku offers six berths across two cabins and the saloon. Starting forward, the owner's cabin has a large island double berth with storage beneath and replacement mattresses from 2024. Hanging lockers are provided to port and starboard together with storage drawers and a vanity unit with seat. An overhead deck hatch provides light and ventilation and is fitted with a mosquito net. The en-suite heads compartment has a manual Jabsco marine toilet with washbasin and shower with hot and cold water. Moving aft, the galley is to port and equipped with a Neptune 4500 two-burner gas cooker with oven and grill, fitted in 2018, Dometic CR110 refrigerator renewed in 2023 and twin stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressurised water. There are plentiful storage cupboards. The galley joinery was revarnished and a new splashback fitted in 2024. Opposite to starboard is a second heads compartment with Jabsco electric sea toilet, moulded vanity unit, shower, hot and cold pressurised water, mirrored lockers and a 60-litre Tektanks gravity holding tank with new waste hoses fitted in 2024. The raised deck saloon has a U-shaped seating area to port with a folding saloon table which lowers to form a large double berth. The large deck saloon windows give good all-round visibility from the seating area and the internal steering position. Side windows and frames were replaced by Seaglaze in 2016. The internal helm and navigation station is to starboard with adjustable helm seat, chart table, storage, engine controls and instrumentation together with navigation equipment and autopilot control. Aft to starboard is a separate double cabin with 2x opening port lights, hanging locker, hull-side storage and moulded washbasin with hot and cold pressurised water. The cabin also provides great access to the engine. Hot water is provided via the engine calorifier and 240V immersion heater. A Jabsco Sensor Max VSD freshwater pump was fitted in 2023 with a two-litre accumulator added in 2024. Fresh water is carried in a 325-litre aluminium tank. Eberspächer D3L Compact diesel cabin heating. Mosquito nets for deck hatches. The port aft quarter is occupied by a large cockpit locker - with sufficient space for a dinghy, fenders, lines and other equipment. Liferaft stowage in the central aft cockpit locker.
Located beneath the companionway, with access from the companionway steps or the aft cabin, is the Vetus M4.56 56hp four-cylinder marine diesel engine, installed in 2023 and approximately 330 hours. The propeller was overhauled when the engine was installed with subsequent further servicing and a new anode in February 2026.
