The Hunter Legend 35.5 is one of the most successful yachts to be built by the Hunter Marine Corporation. A well thought out family cruiser with good performance, an easily handled rig and a spacious and comfortable layout below deck. She is fitted with the shallow draft winged keel option, ideal for the shallow waters of the East Coast and beyond.

Accommodation

The layout offers up to seven berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. There is good ventilation, plentiful stowage and full standing headroom throughout. Double doors lead into the forecabin where there is a generous double V berth with stowage under. Hanging lockers to port and starboard. Opening hatch to foredeck. In saloon, dinette to port - which converts to double - with settee berth opposite. Fixed table with drop leaf. Chart table to port with galley opposite. Voyager 4500 two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Twin stainless steel sinks. Hot and cold pressurised water supply. 290 litre freshwater capacity. Refrigerator. Separate heads compartment to starboard with marine toilet, washbasin and separate shower stall. Aft cabin with large double berth and hanging locker. Radio/CD player with cockpit speakers. Diesel cabin heater (needs refitting).

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway, Yanmar 3GM30F three-cylinder 29hp diesel engine. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to two bladed folding propeller. Single lever control. 100 litre fuel capacity.

    Built in 1993 by Hunter Marine to a design by Warren Luhrs. White GRP hull with style stripes. Alloy toe rail. White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip to deck. Aft self-draining cockpit. Spade hung rudder. Wheel steering. Lead wing keel. Last surveyed in 2022 with a copy available upon request.
