Forward Owner’s Cabin:
The standout feature of this layout is the large forward stateroom. It offers a generous centerline queen berth with easy walkaround access on both sides, making bed-making and entry/exit hassle-free. There is ample storage with hanging lockers, drawers, and shelves, along with a private en-suite head featuring a separate stall shower, vanity, and marine toilet.
Main Saloon:
The saloon is bright and airy thanks to multiple opening hatches and ports. To port is a U-shaped dinette that converts to an additional double berth if needed. To port is a comfortable settee, perfect for lounging or entertaining guests. The saloon offers abundant storage in lockers and beneath seating areas.
Galley:
Located at the base of the companionway to port, the galley is well-equipped for long-term cruising. It features ample counter space, dual stainless steel sinks, a top and front-loading Adler Barbour refrigerator/freezer, a gimballed 3 burner Princess stove with oven, and plenty of lockers and drawers for provisioning and cookware storage.
Aft Guest Cabin:
To port, aft of the nav station, is the guest stateroom. It offers a large double berth, hanging locker, and storage shelves, making it comfortable for guests or extra storage.
Aft Head:
The second head is located just aft of the galley to starboard. It serves both the aft cabin and as a convenient day head. It includes a marine toilet, sink/vanity, and shower with a pull-out faucet.
Engine Access:
Easy access to the engine is provided behind the companionway steps and through side panels, making routine maintenance straightforward.
Cockpit:
Above deck, the center cockpit is spacious, with seating for a crew of friends and family. The sugar scoop transom with integrated swim platform and ladder makes water access and dinghy boarding easy.
Navigation Station:
Opposite the galley to starboard is the forward-facing navigation station, featuring a large chart table, space for electronics, and easy access to electrical panels and instruments.
Located centrally under the companion way stairs the Yanmar 4JH3E 56hp has only 1600hrs and has been well maintained. A Kanzaki KM3A drives a 3 bladed 18" bronze prop.
Electrical SystemsMasthead deck stepped sloop. Standing rigging - original, running rigging most replaced 2025. Slab reefing mainsail with lazy-jacks and mainsail cover and furling headsail. Lewmar winches.
The Catalina 42 MkII, designed by Gerry Douglas and built by Catalina Yachts in California, is known for its solid build, coastal and offshore capability, and durable materials. Hand laid fiberglass hull, mould gelcoat deck. Shallow wing keel and spade hung rudder. Last anti fouled June 2025.
