The Hunter Ranger 245 is a compact family cruiser with a surprising amount of room below. The David Thomas design is a twin keel configuration, which makes it ideal for exploring the shallow waters of the East Coast and beyond, but they are still a highly regarded sea boats for their size. Accommodation

Offering up to 6 berths in two cabins and boasting over 6ft of headroom in the saloon. Forward is a raised double V berth with shelving and storage under. Main saloon features a U-shaped settee with fold out table. To port is the small fold away chart table and navigation area. Aft to port is the head, which is equipped with a Jabsco marine toilet, wash basin, and shower. The galley is to starboard with a Plastimo two-burner gas hob with oven, grill, and refrigerator. The aft cabin has a double berth with stowage under. Eberspacher diesel cabin heater. Hot & cold pressurised water supply. Red upholstery.

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway stairs is the Yanmar 1GM10 marine diesel engine. 9hp, single cylinder, naturally aspirated. Shaft drive to two blade fixed-pitch prop. Electric start. Single lever controls. Seawater cooled. Yearly service and winterisation. New sea water pump and injection bend and gasket 2024. 25L fuel capacity.

    Built by Hunter Yachts in 2001 to a David Thomas design. White GRP hull, deck, and superstructure with grey styling stripe. Neoprene rubbing strake. Deck and coachroof with moulded non-slip tread areas. Cast iron bilge keels. Tiller steering to a transom hung rudder. Self-draining cockpit.
