The Dufour 36 Classic is considered a well-balanced performance cruiser. Combining responsive handling and comfort with solid French build quality. Samara has been well maintained under her current ownership since 2009, undergoing continual upgrades and comprehensive engine maintenance. Highlights include; new sail suite and covers, engine and sail drive full servicing (2021), complete hull strip, restore and antifoul, topsides polished and new coachlines. Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to 6 berths within two cabins and the saloon finished in in beautiful cherrywood with white padded lining. Up front there is a spacious double berth to the port side (170l water tank is located beneath). Large opening hatch to foredeck. Hanging locker to starboard. Large locker forward of berth. Stepping aft into the saloon, L-shaped settee berth in blue velour to portside with a fixed table which drops to converts to a double berth. Double bench opposite. Large opening hatch to deck. Generous stowage throughout with a large hanging locker to starboard. Opposite on starboard side is the galley with a small opening hatch to deck, comprising of twin stainless-steel sinks and Corian work surface, Plastimo Neptune two burner gas hob, grill and oven. Isotherm fridge. Forward facing navigation station to port with electrical distribution panel, navigation equipment, chart stowage. Further aft to starboard is the heads, with a Jabsco manual marine toilet, moulded Corian sink with extendable shower head. Electric grey water waste pump. Pressurised hot & cold-water throughout. Aft cabin to portside with a large double berth (170l water tank under berth) and hanging locker. Opening portlight to the cockpit. Eberspacher cabin heating system.

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway steps in an insulated and ventilated engine bay, is a Volvo Penta MD2030 (2002) marine diesel engine. 29 HP, three cylinders, naturally aspirated. Fresh water cooled via a heat exchanger. Sail drive unit (diaphragm replaced 2021) to a folding 3 bladed bronze propeller. Electric start. Single lever engine controls. Approximately 90 litre fuel supply. New exhaust elbow and injectors re-set (2021). Saildrive diaphragm replaced (2021) Comprehensive servicing in 2021 and 2026.

Masthead rigged Bermudan sloop. Deck stepped alloy mast and boom, Stainless steel standing rigging (2014). Terylene running rigging. Two Lewmar 40 ST self-tailing sheet winches. Two Lewmar 30 ST self-tailing halyard winches. OneSails custom made lazy bag and mast boot. All sails come with bags.

Construction

Built by Dufour in 2002 to an Alain Mortain and Yiannis Mavrikios design. White GRP hull and superstructure with blue style stripe. Teak laid deck, cockpit seats, sole. Sugar scoop with fold away bathing platform. Stainless steel pulpit, pushpit and guard rails around. Lead fin keel. Wheel steering to spade rudder. Self-draining aft cockpit.
