The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 is a fantastic cruising boat, that is well suited for a family to head off exploring the local shores and beyond. Halcyon has been in her current ownership for the past 5 years, and has been well upgraded with new copper coat, standing rigging and a bow thruster.

Accommodation

The boat offers up to six berths, with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. Standing headroom throughout. In the forecabin, there is a double berth with stowage under. Hanging locker. Small basin. Opening hatch to foredeck. Moving aft into the saloon, there is a dinette to starboard converting down into a double berth with a single settee opposite to port. Forward facing chart table to port, with the electrical distribution panel and some navigation equipment. The L-shaped galley is opposite the chart table to starboard and has a Two burner gimballed gas cooker with oven. Twin stainless steel sinks with a pressurised hot and cold water supply. 12V Refrigerator (needs service). Separate heads compartment with a marine toilet, shower and washbasin. Aft cabin is to starboard with a large double berth, hanging locker with opening portlights. Eberspacher diesel fired hot air central heating. Blue upholstery throughout with curtains. Two 150 litre water tanks.

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway stairs, in a vented and soundproofed compartment is the Yanmar 3GM30F, 3 cylinder, 29hp marine diesel engine, fitted in 2002. Fresh water cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft driven to a feathering Darglow Featherstream 3 bladed propellor. Single lever controls, Rope cutter. Electric start. 136 litre plastic fuel tank. Regularly serviced. BOW THRUSTER (2022).

    Built by Jeanneau in 2002. White grp hull with style stripes. White grp coachroof with mostly bonded teak laid deck. Alloy toe rails. Cast iron fin keel. Wheel steering to balanced rudder. Large sugar scoop transom with fold down helm seat for access. Self-draining cockpit and anchor well. Stainless steel rails and new stainless-steel lifelines in 2017. Teak hand rails. Teak to cockpit seats and sole. Midship cleats. Last surveyed in 2020. Copper coated below the waterline in 2022
