Description
The Hunter Channel 27 is the ideal family cruiser for the East Coast. Her shallow draft bilge keels make the shallow rivers more accessible and give much more freedom when deciding on places to stay.

Accommodation
Forward you will find a V berth suitable for two adults. Coming aft into the saloon you will find a folding dining table with ample room for four adults. The bench seating the the saloon may be used as single berths also. Further aft to starboard is the galley, equipped with a Plastimo Neptune 2000 two burner gas stove with grill and oven, stainless steel sink and cool box. Heads compartment aft to port with Jabsco marine toilet and wash basin. Pressurised cold water supply to heads basin and galley sink.
Mechanical Systems
Located in the insulated engine room below the companionway is a recently serviced Yanmar 1GM, single cylinder, 9hp diesel engine, this drives the propeller via shaft. Single lever engine controls are by the helm in the cockpit. Serviced in April 2025. New raw water pump and Racor fuel filter assembly fitted.
Electrical Systems
There is one 12v engine crank battery and one 12v domestic battery. Charged via shore power and engine alternator.
Sails and Spars
Fractionally rigged sloop. New stainless steel standing rigging in 2025. Slab reefing mainsail. Plastimo headsail furling system. Single Lewmar halyard winch on coachroof.
Navigation Equipment
Construction
Built by Hunter Boats to a design by David Thomas in 2003. She has a white GRP hull and superstructure with moulded-in non-slip surfaces. Twin cast iron bilge keels. Tiller steering to transom hung rudder. Stainless steel pulpit and pushpit. Self-draining aft cockpit.
