The Hunter Channel 27 combines excellent accommodation with good performance and an easily handled self-tacking rig. Moondance is a desirable late twin keel example with the MkII rig for improved performance whilst still perfect for East Coast cruising. She benefits from an upgraded Yanmar 2GM20 diesel engine fitted in 2021 and new standing rigging in 2025. Her inventory also includes Raymarine chart plotter and autopilot, fridge and diesel heating. She is presented in very good condition, so early viewing is highly recommended as her condition is well above average.

Hunter Channel 27 built by Hunter Boats Ltd. in 2003 and completed to a very high standard by her first owner. White GRP hull, superstructure and decks with non-slip surfaces. Cast iron twin bilge keels designed to provide a great combination of shallow draft, performance and a low centre of gravity when on a drying mooring. New anodes fitted in 2025 and antifouled in April 2026. Tiller steering to transom hung rudder. Tiller control line to lock steering. Wichard tiller extension (new 2021). Rubber rubbing strake with blue sheerline. Self-draining aft cockpit, with Tek-Dek fitted to cockpit area 2024. Opening portlight to cockpit.
Time and care were taken with completing her and the finish is as good, if not better than Hunter yard finished boats. Many small upgrades and improvements were made such as thicker, stronger washboards, upgraded upholstery, upgraded stainless steel cockpit seat drains and many other items over the standard specification.
