The Hunter Ranger 245 offers large accommodation for a yacht of her size, sleeping up to six with good headroom in the saloon area. "Milly" is a factory completed, twin keel example with a Yanmar diesel engine and is presented in very good condition with central heating and recent electronics. She has been in her current ownership for six years cruising the local Essex rivers.

Accommodation

Large open plan accommodation offers up to six berths in single cabin with standing headroom. Double berth forward. U-shaped settee around the saloon table with one folding leaf. Folding chart table to port 12v switch panel. Heads compartment aft to port with moulded wash basin and Thetford Porta Potti chemical toilet. There are skin fittings for a marine toilet. Galley to starboard with stainless steel sink and Plastimo Neptune 2000 two burner gas stove with grill and oven. Insulated cool box. Large double berth aft to starboard. Hand pumped cold freshwater supply to galley sink and heads basin. Mikuni diesel fired central heating. Blue upholstery and blue curtains.

Mechanical Systems

Original Yanmar 1GM10, single cylinder, 9hp marine diesel engine. Raw water cooled. Shaft drive via P-bracket to two blade fixed propeller. Electric start. Single lever Morse controls. Plastic fuel tank. Engine serviced October 2025.

Single 12v battery (new 2024). Battery charged via alternator. Interior lighting.

    Hunter Horizon 245 built and completed by Hunter Boats in 2003 to a David Thomas design. White GRP hull and superstructure with moulded-in non-slip decks. Cast iron twin bilge keels. Tiller steering to transom hung rudder. Tiller extension. Aft self-draining cockpit.
