Located in cockpit engine box, Yanmar 1GM10 single cylinder diesel engine. Sea water cooled. Twin lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive to a fixed 3-bladed bronze propeller.

12v Battery located in cockpit locker and charged via engine alternator. Battery isolator switch and 12v distribution panel.

Finesse 21 built by A.F.Platt Ltd in 1966. White painted clinker hull with marine ply decks with cream painted non-slip decks and cabin top. Cast iron lifting centre plate with timber bilge runners. Tiller steering to transom hung rudder.

In 2015 a comprehensive 'back to bare' refit was undertaken including replacement of the deck and coachroof, and she appears to be in very sound condition.
