The Sadler 26 has an unsinkable hull, an important safety factor, a traditional and practical layout finished to a high standard. These ever popular cruisers have brisk, well mannered performance and are well proven sea boats. Wandering Star is the twin bilge keel version and is presented is very good order throughout. She benefits from a 2018 14hp Nanni engine with less than 145 hours logged, central heating and a full compliment of cruising equipment.

The layout is well finished with reasonable headroom in the saloon and offers five/six berths in two cabins. V berth forward with stowage under and shelving to hull sides. Opening hatch to foredeck. Teak faced door to the forward cabin/heads. Full width heads compartment with marine toilet (about 5 years old) and hanging locker opposite. In saloon the port settee has been converted to have three large stowage lockers under and can be used as a double berth. Settee berth opposite with stowage under. There is a clever removable table that can be used both in the saloon and cockpit. Quarter berth to port with pull out chart table over. The L shaped galley is to starboard and this has a Flavel two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Stainless steel sink with cold manual supply. 45 litres freshwater capacity. Cool box. Grey/blue fabric upholstery in good condition. Curtained. Pioneer stereo with two saloon speakers. Eberspacher diesel fired central heating system.
Mechanical SystemsLocated under companionway. Year 2018 Nanni 14hp marine diesel engine. Twin cylinders. Sea water cooled. Shaft drive to three blade fixed propeller. 45 litre fuel capacity in stainless steel tank. Approx 4.5 knots cruising and 6 knots maximum speed under engine. Professionally serviced annually.
Two 12V batteries (both 2023) in two banks charging via engine alternator, solar panel and shore power charger. 240V shore power system with sockets.
Sails & SparsMasthead rigged sloop. Silver anodised aluminum mast and boom by Kemp, 1988. Stainless steel standing rigging (age unknown). Terylene running rigging. All lines led aft to cockpit. Two Lewmar 40 self tailing genoa sheet winches. Two Lewmar 30 self tailing control line winches. Slab reefing to mainsail with lazyjacks. Furlex headsail furling system. Alloy telescopic spinnaker pole.
Built in 1988 by Sadler Yachts to a design by David Sadler. White GRP hull with style stripes. Teak rubbing strakes. White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip to decks. Twin cast iron keels. Transom and skeg hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self draining cockpit. The twin skin hull construction makes the Sadler 26 unsinkable and provides good thermal and acoustic insulation. Last surveyed in 2017.
