Accommodation

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 32i layout offers up to six berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation with approx. 6'2" headroom.

FORECABIN - Accessed via a bi-fold door to maximise space and fitted with a V berth with infill to form a double berth, useful stowage areas and opening hatch to foredeck.

SALOON - Laid out with two settee berths (larger to port), a fixed drop leaf table with keel control line, stowage beneath berths, cupboard, two portlights, large fixed windows and opening central hatch.

CHART TABLE - To starboard, aft facing chart table with electrical distribution panel, VHF radio, CD/radio stereo, heater controls and chart storage.

GALLEY - U-shaped galley aft to starboard equipped with a two burner gimballed gas cooker with oven and grill, large 120L top loading refrigerator, stainless steel sink , and good storage in various cupboards and shelves. 

HEADS - Separate heads compartment to port with Jabsco marine toilet, 45L holding tank, shower and washbasin.  

AFT CABIN - Fitted with a large double berth, locker with shelving and opening portlight.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT -  Hot and cold pressurised water supply throughout via a calorifier with immersion coil and 170L fresh water tank. Webasto Airtop 3500 diesel fired warm air heating system. Teak and holly effect sole boards. Cream leatherette saloon and cotton cabin upholstery with complimenting cream curtains and hatch covers.

Spars & Sails

Fractionally rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom by Sparcraft. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging. Facnor headsail furling system. Single line slab reefing system to mainsail with lazyjacks. All lines led aft to cockpit. Two Harken 32 self tailing sheet winches. Harken 16 halyard winch.

Mechanical Systems

Located abaft the companionway, Yanmar 3YM20 3-cylinder 21hp diesel engine. Freshwater cooled. Single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive with rope cutter (new 2015) to 2021 Darglow 3 blade feathering propeller. 70 litre fuel capacity giving approximately 250 mile range at 5.5 knots cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 6.5 knots (both dependant on loading and fouling).

The engine had a full service in November 2023. New water pump 2023.

Sidepower bow and stern thrusters. 

Electrical Systems

Four 12V batteries (two new 2020) charging via engine alternator. 240v shore power system with ring mains, immersion coil and battery charger. Electrical distribution panel and 12v socket. Full cabin lighting. Galvanic isolator in 2022.

Construction

Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 32i built in 2008 by Jeanneau to a design by Philippe Briand. White GRP hull with style stripes, superstructure and decks with moulded non-slip surfaces. Alloy toe rails. Lift keel with cast iron keel box combining twin bilge keels with a swinging centre plate between. Wheel steering to twin spade rudders with protective shoes for grounding. Teak laid cockpit seating. Aft self draining cockpit. 

Last surveyed in 2021.
